Maintenance of Containers used for Transporting Corrosive Liquids

As a chlorine producer and member of the SHD (French Halogens and Derivatives Association) and Eurochlor, MSSA Métaux Spéciaux is renowned for its long-standing expertise in the maintenance of special containers used for transporting corrosive liquids such as chlorine, sulphur dioxide (SO2) and hydrofluoric acid (HF).

Equipment and accreditations

The dedicated container maintenance workshop was completely rebuilt in 2005 and features highly efficient equipment that is capable of accommodating rail wagons, ISO containers, cylinders and bottles. MSSA Métaux Spéciaux scrupulously complies with the RID and GEST (Safety and Transportation Research Consortium) requirements, employs APAVE/BV as SNCF (French National Railways)-approved experts and possesses the ERMETO and PHONIX valve-servicing certifications.
